Beef Casings: Beef Casings manufactured by Shorton Argentina S.R.L. are produced directly at the slaughterhouses and/or abattoirs by highly experienced staff to achieve safe and reliable finished products, which are then elaborated and classified in our industrial plant, thus eliminating the old myth that states that natural casings have a smell.

Shorton Argentina performs a handcrafted selection of the three characteristic and, above all, natural products.


Beef Rounds: It is used for cooked and/or dry sausages due to its high resistance and impermeability, which ensures more attractive and preserved products.
Due to its excellent crunchy bites, and the special feature of Shorton Argentina’s casings of not exceeding the levels of fat, it is used for low cost fresh products.

Classification: through a strict and controlled calibration process, we ensure a uniform products according to our clients’ needs.
34/36 – Small sausages, etc.

Beef Middles: The feature of this product is its high resistance and endurance to high temperatures due to the high level of texture of this tissue. Dry sausages manufactured with this type of natural casing have the advantage of having a different presentation and ensure a better taste to the finished product, since the maturity process does not stop during the drying process.

Beef Bladders: Are the largest diameter casings from cattle; they are oval in shape, and will hold from 2.5 to 6.5 kg of sausage. They are used mainly for the elaboration of Mortadella and other specially spiced, cooked and/or smoked sausages; in any of its shapes: natural oval, in square molds for sandwich slices, or in the flat pear-shaped styles. There is no other satisfactory substitute of the beef bladder’s quality.
Its presentation may be dried or salted.
